Who is Christopher Rodriguez?

Christopher Rodriguez is a 10-year-old boy who is currently paralyzed from the waist down after being hit by a stray bullet while attending a piano lesson on January 10th, 2008. His story really touched me considering that could have been me. I actually took lessons at that same school a few months after the incident so it really has had a big impact on my life. Chris and his family face a difficult road ahead, and will need all the support and donations you can give.

Cystic Fibrosis is the number one genetic killer of children and young adults in the U.S. today. This horrible disease creates abnormal, life-threatening mucus in the lungs of more than 30,000 young people. Approximatley 1,000 new cases are diagnosed each year and one in 31 Americans is an unknowing, symtomless carrier of the defective gene. Once known as a childrens disease, 40% of the CF population is now 18 and older thanks to a medical research and development. With continued support and resources, finding a cure for Cystic Fibrosis is not an unrealistic dream.
